Three Killed in Shooting in Airbnb Apartment in Toronto

In the Canadian city of Toronto on Friday night at a shooting in an apartment rented through Airbnb, three people died, and two others were injured. The police report that.

 

The incident occurred around 10.30 p.m. in an apartment complex on the corner of Queens Wharf Road and Fort York Boulevard.

Agents initially saw only one victim but later found four more on different floors. Three of them were taken to the hospital in critical condition, where they succumbed to their injuries, reports the Toronto Star newspaper news site.

The fourth victim was also wounded by bullets but sustained no life-threatening injuries. A fifth present only suffered a cut or stab wound.

There is as yet no clarity about the identity of the victims or the motive for the violence. According to the police, shooting started during a “group meeting.”

According to the Canadian broadcaster CBC, the three deceased victims are young men. The police have called on any witnesses to report.

Shooting is no rarity in Toronto, the economic capital of Canada. In the past year, there were 490 shootings, resulting in 44 deaths.
