Three people were killed in a plane crash over Eastern Iceland. The Icelandic police report this. Monday morning, it is still unclear how the crash could have happened.
The pilot of the Cessna 172 had sent a distress call on Sunday evening, after which a search began. The crashed plane was found a few hours later.
In addition to the pilot and two passengers, the three occupants were pronounced dead at the scene.
The authorities have launched an investigation.
