The US and North Korea are Running Smoothly on Talks about Nuclear Weapons
America and North Korea are again talking about nuclear weapons. Negotiators from both countries met today in the Swedish capital Stockholm to resume the talks.
Swedish diplomat Kent Härstedt would chair the talks, although the Swedish Ministry of Foreign Affairs does not want to confirm that. The United States hopes that the talks will lead North Korea to phase out its nuclear arsenal.
The negotiations were virtually silent since a summit meeting between President Trump and North Korean leader Kim Jong-un in February Vietnam failed.
Last Wednesday, Pyongyang conducted another test with a rocket launched from a submarine. That would be the start of a “new phase” in North Korea’s defence.
