Roger Federer wrote the Indian Wells Masters tournament in his name. The tennis player defeated his compatriot Stan Wawrinka in the final 6-4 7-5.
The third placed Wawrinka won his semi-final convincingly over the Spaniard Pablo Carreno. It was the first time that a Swiss tennis player came in the finals of Indian Wells.
Federer won the tournament four times previously. He counted in the semi-finals by winning over the American Jack Sock.
