Pfizer and BioNTech Apply for Approval for Coronavirus Vaccine
The American pharmaceutical company Pfizer and its German partner BioNTech will apply for approval for their corona vaccine on Friday.
They apply to the United States Medicines Authority, the Food and Drug Administration (FDA).
According to the petitioners, the FDA can use an accelerated authorization procedure because it is an emergency.
This means that the vaccine could be available in the United States before the turn of the year.
The Pfizer and BioNTech vaccine is said to be 95 percent effective in fighting Covid-19.
