Djokovic Reaches Third Round at Wimbledon Without Losing A Set

Novak Djokovic Needs Four Sets Against Edmund. Novak Djokovic has had to make a lot of effort to reach the third round of the US Open.

The number 1 in the world, three-time champion in New York, needed four sets to get rid of the Brit Kyle Edmund. It became 6-7 (5) 6-3 6-4 6-2.

The 25-year-old Edmund, the global number 44, played with a lot of guts and aggression in his strokes in the first set. He served strongly and managed to win a tiebreak, which he actually worked to win 7-5.

The Briton was unable to maintain his high level, while Djokovic started to play better after the loss of the first set.

Djokovic quickly ran out to 4-1 and actually didn’t run into problems in the remainder. After 3 hours and 13 minutes, he had the victory.

Djokovic (33) is the big favourite for the title in New York. He has not lost a game this season and has already won 25 games.
