The Democrat Bernie Sanders (77) is a candidate for the US presidential election in 2020. Senator Sanders told Vermont Public Radio.

Sanders also attempted in 2016 to enter the White House, but then he lost the Democratic primaries of Hillary Clinton, who in turn was defeated by Donald Trump. After Clinton was elected as Democrat candidate, she received support from Sanders.

The current senator for the Democrats at the time enjoyed a lot of support among young liberals with his calls for universal health care, a higher minimum wage and free public university education.

Sanders drew hard at President Trump last month during a speech on the occasion of the American national holiday Martin Luther Kingdag, which he called a racist.

According to him, Trump ‘consciously and aggressively tries to divide people from skin colour, gender, nationality, religion or sexual preference’. Sanders:, Today we talk about justice and racism, and I am very sorry to say that we have a president who is racist. ”

Sanders called the incumbent president a racist during the mid-term elections for the American Congress. Then there were the objections of sexism and homophobia.
