About 1.2 Million Ukrainians Fled to Poland

About 1.2 million people from Ukraine have crossed the border into neighbouring Poland.

The new figures from the Polish Border Guard show another significant increase in the number of arriving refugees. The day before, there were just over 1 million.

Since the beginning of the Russian invasion of Ukraine on February 24, Ukrainians have fled en masse to Poland, but other neighbouring countries are also dealing with a flood of refugees.

It is not clear how many people have travelled from these countries to other parts of Europe.
