Hackers from Russia and Belarus Target Ukraine

Russian hackers have been busy in recent weeks spying, phishing and other attacks targeting Ukraine and its European allies.

A special department has found this against cybercrime of internet company Google.

Google’s Threat Analysis Group, which focuses on disrupting hackers’ and users’ activities, reported in a blog on Monday that Fancy Bear’s Russian hackers have been sending phishing emails to Ukrainian media company UkrNet in the past two weeks.

With phishing messages, hackers try to obtain user login details.

Russia denies sending hackers on its enemies. Google did not disclose whether the attempts have been successful. The company also reported hackers from Belarus targeting the Polish and Ukrainian governments and by hackers based in China who sent attachments containing viruses to “European entities”.
