US Economy Grows 6.4 Percent in the First Quarter

The United States economy continued to grow in the first quarter of this year.

 

According to a preliminary estimate by the US government, the size of the largest economy in the world increased by 6.4 percent.

THUS, the US economy is showing further recovery from the corona crisis, aided by vaccinations against the virus and extensive support measures from the US government.

In the previous quarter, the US economy grew by 4.3 percent.

The figures on the growth or contraction in the US are published based on a so-called annualized calculation. In addition, the quarterly performance is imaginarily extended over a whole year.
