The car bomb that killed the daughter of Russian ideologist Aleksandr Dugin has been detonated remotely. This is reported by the Russian state news agency TASS, citing sources.

Darya Dugina died Saturday night in an explosion southwest of Moscow. The political scientist and journalist had visited a festival that day with her allegedly very influential father, who is also called “the brain” of President Vladimir Putin. They were supposed to drive back to Moscow together, but Dugina traveled alone due to a change in her father’s plans.

The explosive was attached to the underside of Dugina’s car. The attack is still under investigation. It is not clear who is responsible for the murder.

A Russian resistance group called the National Republican Army claimed responsibility for the attack on Sunday. This information has not been officially confirmed. The as yet unknown group, about which there is little information, opposes the regime of “war criminal” Putin. Dugina is said to have been a “legitimate target” for supporting the war in Ukraine.

Accusations were made against Ukraine via Russian state media. The Kyiv government has denied any involvement in the bombing.
