Financial Watchdog FATF Suspends Russian Membership

Russia reports that online talks with Ukraine will continue. Since Monday, representatives of both countries have been holding video discussions to find a solution to the Russian invasion of Ukraine.

A Russian Foreign Ministry spokesman said that military, political, and humanitarian issues are being discussed. Negotiations have not yet led to a breakthrough, but the parties appear to be making progress despite difficult talks.

Kyiv demands a ceasefire and the withdrawal of Russian troops. Moscow wants Ukraine to become a neutral country and not a member of NATO.

The Russian delegation also wants Kyiv to recognize that Crimea belongs to Russia and that the renegade regions of Donetsk and Luhansk are independent states.
