An Indian pilot is caught with alcohol one hour before his flight. That was manifest from two breath examinations that he had to undergo, reports Air India. It was a flight to London from New Delhi.
Arvind Kathpalia suffers his flying license for three years because of the occurrence. He is not only a pilot but also a member of the board of the airline. Kathpalia is involved in common flight procedures.
It is the subsequent time that Kathpalia gets into a problem with alcohol. In 2017 he was suspended for three months, ostensibly for refusing breath tests.
Airlines conduct regular tests worldwide. Earlier this month, a pilot of Japan Airlines was caught with too much alcohol. He had two bottles of wine and five cans of beer before flying from London to Tokyo.
