Kim Jong-un Replaces Three Top Rank Soldiers. Three high-ranking soldiers have been pushed aside in North Korea. That says a source with the US government.

The North Korean leader Kim Jong-un would have dismissed the three highest soldiers in his country because they would not have been set up with the rapprochement to the United States.

A historic summit is scheduled for June 12 between US President Donald Trump and Kim Jong-un.

According to the South Korean news agency Yonhap, Minister of Defense Pak Yong-sik was replaced by current Deputy Minister No Kwang-chol. Also, the staff chief of the Korean People’s Army, Ri Myong-su, and the chairman of the Politburo of the People’s Army, Kim Jong-gak, have been sent out.

The exact reason why the North Korean leader Kim Jong-un appoints new confidants is not known. A source at the intelligence services told the news agency Yonhap that the fired soldiers ‘lacked flexibility in their thinking’.
