French Spiderman Arrested after Climbing Skyscraper in Frankfurt

Alain Robert aka the “French Spiderman” was arrested this afternoon in the German city of Frankfurt. This because of climbing the “Skyper” tower without permission, reports AFP news agency.

57-year-old Robert, known for conquering skyscrapers all over the world without permission and climbing equipment, only needed half an hour to reach the top of the Skyper tower.

Once again downstairs, he was arrested by the German police. The Frenchman gave no reason to climb the 42-storey tower in Germany’s financial centre.

In August, after climbing a skyscraper in Hong Kong, he unfolded a “peace flag” in response to the massive and sometimes violent pro-democracy protests in the city.

Robert has been performing climbing stunts since 1994 and has since conquered many iconic buildings including the Burj Khalifa in Dubai, the world’s tallest tower, and the Eiffel Tower in Paris.
