A Man 102 Year Old is Stuck on the Roof of His House for Days
102-year-old Briton Ron Easton has probably been imprisoned for three days on the flat roof of his house. The very elderly man was only found when a delivery person saw that there were unopened bottles of milk in front of his door.
Easton, who lives in Bigbury-on-Sea, possibly crashed on Sunday when he wanted to adjust his TV antenna, writes the BBC. Everyday milk is delivered to the man, and that was his salvation.
The woman who came this morning saw that the bottles were still unopened on Monday and Tuesday, and even today he did not respond to phone calls or the doorbell.
“I thought he was asleep, but I still wanted someone to go out and investigate”, the woman tells the BBC. She called in the owner of a nearby store, who asked a maintenance engineer to go and see. He saw the man lying on the roof. Because his ladder was on the other side of the house, nobody had noticed that.
Easton was taken to a hospital with a trauma helicopter. His condition is stable. But what exactly happened and why he did not manage to come down himself is not known.
