US May Roll Back Huawei Trade Restrictions to Help Existing Customers
US May Roll Back Huawei Trade Restrictions to Help Existing Customers. The US Department of Commerce may soon relieve restrictions on products from the Chinese telecom company Huawei.
According to a spokeswoman, the ministry is considering introducing a 90-day temporary exemption that will allow companies to test the reliability of their network and communication equipment.
The Chinese telecom manufacturer Huawei spoke out earlier this week against the decision of the United States to blacklist the company.
In a reaction, the Chinese company says that the choice is not good for anyone.
According to Huawei, American companies with which they do business suffer “considerable economic damage”. That could conceivably cost tens of thousands of American jobs.
According to Huawei, “the current cooperation and mutual trust in the global trade chain” are being damaged.
