James Harden is again a candidate to be named best basketball player of the season in the American NBA. The star of Houston Rockets won the prestigious election last year.

He has two competitors for this year: the Greek Giannis Antetokounmpo from Milwaukee Bucks and Paul George from Oklahoma City Thunder.

The annual prize gala of the NBA in Los Angeles on June 24 announces which of the three is chosen as MVP (Most Valuable Player).

Harden has the best papers; he was the top scorer of the NBA in the regular season with an average of 36.1 points per game.

George scored an average of 28 points and Antetokounmpo scored an average of 27.7 points. George and Antetokounmpo are also nominated for the election of the best defender.
