The United States has evidence that China is trying to sabotage the development of a corona vaccine by Western countries.
That’s what Republican Senator Rick Scott said on Sunday. He did not want to give details.
“We need to get a vaccine ready,” he told the BBC. “Unfortunately we have evidence that Communist China is trying to sabotage or delay us.”
Scott declined to reveal what evidence the US holds. He did say that the information had come to him through the intelligence services.
“China doesn’t want us to be the first. They’ve decided to be an opponent of the Americans, and I think democracy around the world,” Scott continued.
“This vaccine is essential for all of us and to get our economy going again.”
The senator believes that every country that develops the vaccine first wants to share it. Except for “communist China”.
