The US wants to Get Rid of Iran’s Oil Exemption Sanctions. The US government allegedly does not want to extend certain exemptions from the sanctions with Iran. Now various countries, including China, can still buy oil in Iran.

But the Americans would like to increase pressure on Tehran, reports Bloomberg news agency.

The United States had previously granted 180 days exemption to eight countries to continue to buy Iranian crude oil despite US sanctions against the state.

This was on condition that they take steps to reduce their purchases and to end the import. The deadline for whether or not to extend the appointments is 2 May.

US President Donald Trump reintroduced the sanctions against Iran in November last year.

According to Trump, Tehran did not adhere to the agreements made in the 2015 nuclear agreement and secretly worked on nuclear weapons.
