The former president of South Korea, Park Geun-Hye, was arrested. Park is suspected of corruption and abuse of power.
It was March 10 papers were deposited during the investigation into her actions. On Thursday, a court also decided to issue an arrest warrant against her.
That was asked on Monday by investigators, who said Park freely evidence could disappear, reports Yonhap news agency.
Park Geun-Hye, leader of the Conservative Party, was the first woman to become president of the country in 2013.
