Russia and China Deny Involvement in US Cyberattack

The Russian government has officially denied involvement in the cyberattack on many US government agencies.

China also emphasizes that it is not responsible for the attack and calls the accusations of US President Trump “a farce”.

A week ago, it was revealed that foreign hackers had been able to access the networks of multiple US departments, government agencies and companies for months. US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo said Friday “that we can now say quite clearly that it was the Russians who engaged in this activity.”

President Donald Trump stated that China “may” be involved.

“Russia is not involved in such attacks, especially this one. We emphasize this officially and firmly,” said a Kremlin spokesman quotes the Russian news agency TASS.

“The US allegations against China have always been a farce, with political motives,” said a spokesman for China’s State Department. Harm China and mislead the international community. “
