Prime Minister Charles Michel is organising a “coordination meeting” tomorrow before the start of the extraordinary European summit on the Brexit with the EU countries most affected by the British sortie from the European Union. That confirms the Prime Minister’s entourage.

The arrival of Dutch, French, Danish and Swedish heads of government has been confirmed. Other countries such as Ireland may also join.

The initiative for the coordination meeting comes from Prime Minister Charles Michel. The intention is to bring together the countries that will be most affected by the Brexit.

Michel wants to talk mainly about logistical preparations, for example in the field of customs and border controls.

British Prime Minister Theresa May again asked European leaders to postpone the Brexit, this time until 30 June, because she is unable to get her divorce agreement negotiated with the EU through the British parliament.

The European heads of state and government will address this question on Wednesday afternoon.
