Scottish Police Investigate Online Threat Against Harry Potter Author J.K. Rowling after her tweet about the attack on fellow writer Salman Rushdie.

Rowling tweeted that it made her feel “very sick.” In response, the writer received a threat, of which she shared a screenshot. “Don’t worry, you’re next,” the message reads.

Rowling has previously received a lot of negative messages and, according to her, also threats after statements that critics saw as transphobic.

Rushdie was stabbed Friday during a lecture in New York state. A spokesperson for the author said on Saturday that he had spoken again. Rushdie, 75, is still in hospital and may lose an eye.
