Meta Wants to Get Rid of Customer Service Company Kustomer Again

Facebook mother Meta Platforms is considering returning the Kustomer company to the market. Meta bought the customer service software company for $1 billion at the end of 2020.

Any sale would fit in with the company’s plans to cut costs.

In addition, Meta would again prepare for a large round of layoffs, writes business newspaper The Wall Street Journal. That would be about the same size as the round of layoffs at the end of last year, when 13 percent of the staff were laid off.

The first wave of that new round of layoffs could be announced as early as next week.

As part of the new round of layoffs, Meta could stop developing some virtual reality hardware products. However, in the longer term, Meta wants to continue to promote virtual reality.
