Facebook Plans to Introduce Smart Screen Speaker in 2018. After Amazon, Google and Apple Facebook would also work on a smart speaker. Facebook’s device would be provided with a sharp touchscreen, 15 inches in diameter, producing sources in the production chain against Taiwanese Digitimes. That’s bigger than the screens of most tablets and laptops.
Recently, Amazon released the Echo Show in the US, a smart speaker with a smaller screen of 7 inches. Amazon speakers use their own Alexa assistant, while Apple chooses Siri and Google for his anonymous Assistant.
Facebook would not emphasize voting. The screen made by LG would be the most significant operating method. Facebook is working on its own smart assistant, named M. which is in the US version of chat app messenger.
The device should appear in early 2018 and be developed by Building 8, Facebook’s experimental research branch.
