Chinese Exports Hit Record Level in 2024

China’s second-largest economy may show growth this year despite the impact of the corona crisis. Prime Minister Li Keqiang said this on Chinese state radio on Sunday.

The Chinese economy grew by 3.2 percent in the second quarter, compared to a year earlier.

The first quarter of this year saw a record contraction of 6.8 percent, as a result of the lockdown measures against the coronavirus in China.

The Chinese government has implemented significant stimulus packages to help the economy recover from the crisis.

The prime minister said Beijing expects more than 9 million new jobs to be created in urban areas in China this year.
