China will relax entry restrictions for foreigners, provided they have been vaccinated with a Chinese corona vaccine.
These resources are now used in several places in the world but are not yet available everywhere.
China has been locked mainly to foreigners for a year. The authorities are trying to prevent the spread of the coronavirus. The Chinese Embassy in the United States now reports that it will start processing visa applications from people vaccinated with “Chinese Covid-19 vaccines”.
Embassies in countries such as Italy, India, Pakistan, the Philippines and Sri Lanka made similar announcements. Not everyone can make use of the new scheme.
It is intended for people who go to China for work or “humanitarian emergencies” such as attending a funeral. They have to be quarantined for weeks after arrival.
China has now approved four corona vaccines that have been developed domestically. The Communist People’s Republic does not use foreign vaccines but supplies its own resources against the coronavirus to other countries.
For example, the Philippines received 600,000 doses two weeks ago.
