On Christmas morning, a shopping centre in the Russian village of Tbilisskaya in Kuban caught fire. It covers an area of approximately a thousand square metres. The images of the fire have been widely shared on Twitter.
According to the first reports, the fire started in a clothing store on the second floor. The emergency services who arrived on the scene reported that no evacuation had to be carried out and that there were no casualties.
The cause of the fire has not yet been communicated. Earlier, a massive fire raged in the Stroypark shopping centre in Balashikha, near Moscow, and at the beginning of this month, the Russian OBI hypermarket was ablaze.
The flames covered an 18,000-square-foot building. Many suspects that the fires are the work of Russians who disagree with the war in Ukraine. Tbilisskaya is about 250 kilometres from the Crimean bridge to Ukraine.
