Ryanair Cancels 82 Flights in One Day for Pilots Owed Holidays. Today, Ryanair has canceled 82 flights in one day to give owed holidays to pilots. The airline will delete around 50 flights by the end of next month.
The company says “to suffer from bad weather, strikes with air traffic controllers and staff who have to prepare a stack of holiday days by the end of the year, which sometimes causes underemployment.”
Ryanair started yesterday’s deletion of services. Customers are notified by email shortly before their flight.
An estimated 308,000 to 385,000 travelers are expected to be due to cancellations. Passengers can cancel their canceled flight free of charge or retrieve their money.
Yesterday there were also eighty-one aircraft on the ground, on social media the complaints are raining high.
