A consulting firm working for the campaign of Democratic presidential candidate Joe Biden has been attacked by hackers. They may have worked on behalf of the Russian government.
The hacking attacks were targeted by employees of SKDKnickerbocker, a campaign and communications agency in Washington that has been working for Biden and other prominent Democrats for the past two months.
Microsoft would have informed the office of the burglary attempt, but according to insiders, the perpetrators have not been able actually to penetrate the computer systems.
Several intelligence agencies in the United States have warned against, among other things, Russian attempts to influence the presidential elections in November.
Previous studies have shown that Russia influenced the 2016 elections.
