Iran Says it has American Targets in its Sights
Iran Says it has American Targets in its Sights. Tens of thousands of people today in the Iraqi capital Baghdad commemorated Iranian General Qassem Soleimani and Iraqi militia chief Abu Mahdi al-Muhandis.
The pair died on Thursday in an air raid by the US Army. Iran, meanwhile, says it has “American targets insight”.
Anti-American slogans were called at the funeral. The meeting should be the start of a funeral procession along with all kinds of holy places for Shiite Muslims.
Soleimani is buried on Tuesday in his hometown of Kerman as the endpoint of the procession, reports the Iranian Revolutionary Guard.
Al-Muhandis and the other six Iraqis who died in the attack are buried on Saturday in the holy place of Najaf, about 175 kilometres south of the capital. Iran has publicized three days of national mourning.
