A hostage-taking was underway this Sunday, October 22 in Nuneaton, near Coventry, Britain, report several British media, without the police immediately confirm the nature of the incident. A shooter with a sawed-off shotgun would hold hostages in a bowling club, according to these sources.
On Twitter, the local police simply said it was following an “incident,” urging people to avoid the Bermuda Park area, described as heavily used on Sunday. Images shared on social networks showed the current police deployment:

According to the BBC, which quotes the director general of bowling, two staff members would be held on the premises by an armed man. The police, however, indicated that the incident had no connection with terrorist activity.
