Facebook Takes Over Customer Service Company Kustomer
Facebook acquires Kustomer, an American start-up offering customer service systems.
The social media company does not give details about the acquisition price, but according to the Wall Street Journal, the company is valued at more than 1 billion dollars.
Kustomer offers a service that bundles conversations with customers through different channels in one dashboard.
Facebook itself also has various messaging services, including WhatsApp and Messenger.
These are also already used by companies to speak to customers. Text messages have become just as important as phone calls, Facebook says.
The deal still has to be approved by the competent authorities.
