A young lynx escaped from a wildlife park in Wales was shot dead for the security yesterday. Animal lovers have little understanding of the municipality’s decision and wonder why it did not opt for the stunning of the lynx Lillith.
Also, the zoo from which the lynx escaped is Borth Wild Animal Kingdom, which was triggered by the death of Lillith. “It was not our decision to kill her. We did not agree and did not participate in shooting on our baby lynx. We were broken that happened.”
The lynx escaped at the end of October from a zoo in the eastern county of Ceredigion. Attempts to catch the predator live did not succeed. The animal was spotted at night but just did not fall into the trap.
When Lillith had been extinguished in an area where many people live, it was decided on the advice of a vet to kill the animal. “People’s safety was at the forefront, and we had to act decisively,” says Aberystwyth City Council on Facebook.
