More than one and a half billion vaccinations have already been carried out in China in the campaign against the coronavirus that appeared in this country at the end of 2019.
This was announced by the health authorities on Saturday. The country has more than 1.4 billion inhabitants and has not yet identified 92,500 infections.
The number of deaths attributed to the virus is among the lowest globally at over 4,600, approximately three corona patients per million inhabitants.
The virus, originating from Wuhan, has led to great fear and draconian measures worldwide. Among the 7.9 billion people, 194 million people have now been diagnosed with the virus.
Of these, 176 million had no complaints or have fully recovered. The number of deaths worldwide attributed to the virus has passed four million after more than a year and a half.
