The US Department of Homeland Security (Homeland Security) does not doubt statements from companies that deny having become victims of a Chinese hack via a secret microchip.
Last week, Bloomberg news agency reported that China had broken into computer equipment using a spy chip in some thirty large US companies, including Apple and Amazon. The companies then denied this.
