Business users of Office 365 will soon be notified when nation-controlled hackers attempt to break into their digital infrastructure.
This is a function that is currently under development for Microsoft Defender for Office 365. In it, users already receive protection against various digital threats, such as certain forms of phishing.
This will soon be supplemented in the security portal with possible ‘nation-state activity alerts’, in short when Microsoft suspects that hackers, sponsored or supported by nation-states, are active on their network (or are trying to).
Microsoft uses several indicators that it draws up together with its security team.
An exact date for the rollout of the feature is not yet available. It has been under development since this month according to the Microsoft 365 roadmap.
