Uber has fired 15 percent of the Postmates food delivery staff. It concerns 185 jobs, insiders report to The New York Times.
Founder and CEO Bastian Lehmann will also leave Postmates.
Uber bought the American company for nearly $ 2.7 billion last year. The redundancies are part of Postmates’ incorporation with Uber Eats.
The two brands and apps will continue isolated, but some of the efforts will be reserved over by Uber staff behind the scenes. A spokesman for Uber has deep-rooted that Postmates is cutting back, conferring to The New York Times.
It poured on takeover deals in the food delivery marketplace in the US last year.
