WhatsApp No Longer Supported on Older Phones
WhatsApp No Longer Supported on Older Phones. From tomorrow, instant messaging service WhatsApp will no longer work on Windows phones.
Also on older versions of Android and iOS, you will soon no longer be able to WhatsApp.
WhatsApp, Facebook’s popular messaging platform, has announced it will stop support for some older phones. From January 1, the app is no longer usable on Windows phones, the company says in its own FAQ.
From 1 February the app is also no longer usable on Android 2.3.7 or older, and on iOS 8 or older.
It will not be possible to transfer your message history directly to another platform, but WhatsApp does offer the possibility to export your message history as an e-mail attachment.
