The New York stock exchanges opened at a profit on Wednesday, building on the pluses of a day earlier.
The Dow-Jones index recorded 1.4 percent higher at 27,001 points shortly after the start. The broad S&P 500 rose 1.1 percent to 3233 points, and technology gauge Nasdaq climbed 0.7 percent to 10,564 points.
Moderna’s experimental vaccine was successful in the 45 subjects and provided antibodies in all. In addition, the subjects did not experience any significant side effects. That is what American scientists say about the vaccine.
On July 27, Moderna plans to start a follow-up study, testing the vaccine on 30,000 people to see what side effects are occurring. Moderna’s price skyrocketed nearly 13 percent.
Apple showed a plus of 1.5 percent. Therefore, the committee decision is cancelled. The committee can still appeal against the Apple ruling.
