Several people have been killed in a bombing of a shopping centre in the Ukrainian capital Kyiv. A reporter from the AFP news agency on site reports that at least six bodies have been found.
Rescue workers are said to be looking for other victims.
The shopping centre in northwestern Kyiv was attacked on Sunday evening. According to the emergency services, the building targeted “enemy shelling”, referring to Russia. As a result, the ten-storey shopping centre has been badly damaged.
Russian troops try to surround the capital. According to British intelligence, the advance from the northeast has come to a halt, and most soldiers remain more than 25 kilometres from the centre of Kyiv. The service also reports that heavy fighting continues north of Kyiv.
