Second Firefighter Killed in Wildfires in Canada

In Canada, a second firefighter has died fighting the large wildfires in the country. The authorities announced this on Sunday.

 

The man died Saturday afternoon after sustaining injuries fighting a bushfire in Ford Liard, in the southern Northwest Territories.

On Thursday, the first firefighter was killed in the province of British Columbia. The 19-year-old died in a fall during an intervention.

Canada is facing unprecedented wildfires this year. A total of 10 million hectares have already gone up in flames in more than 4,000 fires.
