Number of Coronavirus Infections Worldwide Above 7 Million
The number of infections with the new coronavirus has risen to over 7 million worldwide, reports Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore, USA.
According to Johns Hopkins, the number of infections is 7,016,794.
The number of infections has doubled in about a month. Only 6 million infections were reported a week ago.
Due to the rapid spread of the virus in countries such as India and Brazil, the number of cases detected increased by more than 100,000 a day.
The global death toll from the virus soared above 400,000 on Sunday.
