Missing Chinese Actress Fan Bingbing Fined $130M for Tax Fraud. One of China’s most famous film stars, Fan Bingbing, has gone through the dust because it has evaded the taxes.
The Chinese actress, known from Hollywood blockbusters like Iron Man 3 and X-Men: Days of Future Past, has apologised after she was sentenced to pay $130M.
Because of her tax problems, Fan suddenly disappeared from public life in June. Because she also did not hear from her, her absence led to speculation about her fate.
The approach of the very popular Fan is seen as a warning from Beijing to famous stars that tax fraud will no longer be accepted.
“I have violated the trust of society and my fans, who love me, are disappointed,” said the actress on the Chinese social media site Weibo.
