Meghan Markle and Queen Silence Walk for Grenfell Tower Fire Anniversary. One year after the devastating fire in the Grenfell Tower in London, residents, politicians and royals stopped to commemorate the event.

At the foot of the burned tower, survivors, family members and first-aid workers stayed together. It remained silent for 72 seconds, one second per deceased victim.

Queen Elizabeth held a moment of silence together with Meghan Markle, during their first trip together without Prince Harry, in Chester. The national football team also commemorated the event. People came together to mourn all over the country. The colour green was everywhere, and it became the symbol of the mourning for the fire.

On the night of June 14, 2017, a massive fire broke out on the fourth floor of the Grenfell Tower in North Kensington, west London. An hour later the fire had reached the 24th floor. The tower had a total of 120 apartments. There were 72 fatalities.
