The other two victims are a man and a woman, both between 50 and 60 years old, who were stabbed in the abdominal area and the woman in the face. Their injuries are not life-threatening.
According to an eyewitness, the perpetrator called ‘Allah’ several times during the attack, but that was not yet confirmed. Nothing has been communicated about the identity of the perpetrator.
Despite the attack, New Year’s festivities and fireworks took place in Manchester as planned. The police ruled that there was no more danger.
