A Japanese tour guide has been infected with the new coronavirus for the second time. It is as far as known for the first time that a patient who has been declared cured becomes infected again, the Japanese Ministry of Health reported Thursday.
The woman who works as a tour guide on bus journeys turned out to be infected at the end of January and was admitted to a hospital.

She was soon able to leave the hospital after a test on 3 February revealed that she no longer had the virus among the members.
A few weeks later, she fell ill again, and on Wednesday, she tested positive for the coronavirus.
It indicates that former patients are not necessarily immune to the virus, the Japanese ministry says.
