Instagram Not Accessible in Russia
Instagram is no longer accessible in Russia. Journalists confirmed this from the French news agency AFP on Monday.
The social medium, owned by parent company Meta, was already put on the list with ‘restricted access’ on Friday.
That measure came after Meta announced on Thursday that it would make a temporary exception to its hateful and violent language guidelines.
Because of the Russian invasion of Ukraine, it will not remove calls for violence against Russian leaders in certain countries, the company ruled. In addition, calls for violence against civilians remain prohibited.
