Instagram is Going to Test Shopping via the App in the United States. The social media platform Instagram will conduct the first tests with a new shopping function. The company declared Instagram Checkout on Tuesday.
With Instagram Checkout, users of the network can buy products via messages in the timeline, without having to leave Instagram. Now companies still have to place a link to their website for offering products via the platform.
The feature is currently being tested between a particular number of users in the United States.
The products from Adidas, H&M, Nike and Zara, among others, are offered during this test. It is not known whether Instagram Checkout is also coming to the Netherlands.
Instagram says it is busy with more brands to make shopping in the Instagram app possible.
